General Event Information
The highlight of the annual BBQ Cookoff is the IBCA-sanctioned BBQ cooking competition, where teams compete for the best BBQ chicken, beef, and ribs. Cooking teams come from across the state and are very competitive about their cooking techniques and recipes.
But there is more to this event than just BBQ: this is a 2-day family event with something for everyone. All proceeds from this event go towards helping the La Vernia Park Foundation meet it's main goal and objective : Making park improvements!
