KID’S COOK
The Kid’s Cook will be held on Friday, August 8th. This event kicks off the 2008 La Vernia Park Foundation BBQ Cook Off. Each team will receive three pork chops, charcoal, and a grill for the kids to keep. Cooking begins at 7:00 pm with the teams turning in two of their pork chops at 8:00 pm. Trophies will be awarded to 1st thru 3rd places, and ribbons will be awarded to 4th thru 10th places. The Kid’s Cook is sponsored by Broken Blade Ranch and Pruski’s Market. Last year’s event proved to be great fun for the cooks and their families! We are looking forward to an even bigger event this year. Come out and enjoy the fun!

Margarita Madness

Friday, August 8, 2008, 9:00 pm
  1. Entry to Margarita Madness is only open to Barbeque cook-off teams.
  2. Entry fee is $30.00 due with Barbeque entry form.
  3. 40% payback to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
  4. Each team brings margaritas frozen or on ice in a one gallon container to the Margarita Madness tent.
  5. Judging will be done by People’s Choice.
  6. Each team will serve their drinks beginning at 9:00 pm. Judging ends at 10:00. Cups to serve the margaritas will be provided by the Park Foundation.
  7. All participants and judges must be 21 or older.
